Smarthouse was created out of the desire to create integrated solutions bringing together the security and convenience available in the market of South Africa.

 

 

There are tons of products available in the market, but which one is going to be the best for your specific requirements.

On the high end you have fully integrated solutions incorporating Audio, Security, Automation, board room solutions and much much more. These premium offerings are not cheap, however the ease of use, single interface and reliability are worth it if its within your budget.

On the other end there are individual stand alone devices which can be used for a single purpose, for example turn lights on and off, or open and close your gate etc. The problem is you may need to access multiple apps, there’s not always the option of having events from one device trigger another etc.

My plans are to provide a South Africa centric resource to review, discuss and share information and ideas on the benefits and pitfalls of home automation.

Please bear with me as I set up this page, I am doing it myself and hope to have it fully functional by the end of November 2022.
